Barry Hodge
CEO

Barry is a recognized leader in biometric identity management, with more than 35 years of experience in the technology industry. He was previously President of Acsys Biometrics, and held senior positions at Hewlett Packard. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Barry earned his BS degree from Bowling Green University, his Master of Arts degree in Business from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a Certificate in Sales Force Management at the Wharton School of Business.

Steven Rehfeldt
Chief Technology Officer

Steven is responsible for software architecture, development, management and integration of all Securlinx client applications and partnerships.

He is the author of Securlinx’ patent pending video analytics framework that allows innovators, clients and integrators to credibly model and deploy facial recognition systems. The system enables repeatable, objective testing to create a mathematical profile of operational boundaries and on-site environmental fitness for facial recognition systems.

His key biometric projects include large venue facial recognition deployments at both Super Bowl XXXV and the 2002 Winter Olympic games as well as multiple modalities for physical access control and surveillance systems in secure facilities.

Jim Axle
President

Jim is a healthcare and information technology specialist with over 30 years of experience in medical devices, information systems, biometrics, imaging systems, women’s healthcare, critical power, laboratory and self-service (kiosk) systems. Jim leads the healthcare solutions business for Securlinx, assisting our healthcare customers with meeting their Value Based Purchasing (VBP), patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS) and population management requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

Jim Stevens
Executive Vice President

Jim has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. He held senior roles with Hewlett-Packard’s Medical Product Group, Agilent Technologies, Philips Healthcare, and Siemens Healthcare, and he later formed his own consulting business to assist startup medical device companies with sales channel development. Jim’s focus is developing, implementing and leading the independent rep and distributor sales channels for Securlinx.

Craig Workinger
Executive Vice President

With more than 35 years of experience in technology, industrial electronics and military defense systems, Craig works with organizations to help them get the most from their investment in information technologies. He has extensive experience helping clients capture the value from new and emerging healthcare information systems, devices and service-oriented products. He also has experience in business development consulting and project management methodologies.

Ron Kaczorowski
Executive Vice President
International Business Operations

Ron brings in over 30 years of executive business experience to Securlinx – International Business Operations. He has led the operations and growth of companies, such as Hewlett-Packard (Canada), Philips (Canada), Emergis and Mareka Alliances, along with board directorships at Kensington Health Centre (Chair), HEALNet, and The Change Foundation of the Ontario Hospital Association.

Mike Kirkpatrick
Security Advisory Board

Mike is one of the nation’s leading experts on security, and he serves as an advisor to Securlinx. A former senior Assistant Director of the FBI, Mike was in charge of the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division. In that capacity, he led the FBI’s largest division into the realities of the post-9/11 world, adapting the existing law enforcement information technology infrastructure to support the global war on terrorism and developing the world’s most extensive biometrically based database of terrorist identities.

Over the course of a distinguished 26-year career, Mike served in a variety of leadership positions handling infrastructure security and terrorism, organized crime and fraud investigations. For his leadership in the use of biometrics to combat terrorism President George W. Bush awarded him the rank of Meritorious Executive. We are proud to have his expertise available to our clients.

Nick Abaid
Security Advisory Board

A well known expert in the intelligence and security field, Nick is responsible for business development at Securlinx, with a primary focus on security applications for government and industrial customers.

With 27 years of law enforcement experience, Nick has extensive knowledge of security matters, including international terrorism risks and foreign counterintelligence operations. He has lectured extensively on the security requirements of private industry and government agencies that are involved in sensitive and classified research and development activities.

Kathleen Vollman
Healthcare Advisory Board

Kathleen is a healthcare practitioner, educator and consultant who serves as member of the Medial Advisory Board for Securlinx. She is a recognized expert in critical care clinical nursing and has published and lectured nationally and internationally on pulmonary care, sepsis recognition and management, the prevention of health care-acquired injuries, and improving the work culture of hospitals.

Kathleen is the founder of Advancing Nursing, which creates empowered work environments for nurses, and was previously a Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Medical ICUs at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She is a member of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Nurses, and in 2012 was appointed to serve as an honorary ambassador to the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses.

Tom Karson MD
Healthcare Advisory Board

Tom Karson, MD is a physician and healthcare IT executive who has served as Corporate Chief Medical Information Officer at Contin­uum Health Partners, Deputy CIO for Yeshiva University and Medical Director Information Systems at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is a cardiologist, intensivist and Harvard-MIT trained informaticist who has been on faculty at some of our nation’s most prestigious institutions including the Cleveland Clinic and the Brigham and Wom­en’s Hospital. Today, Dr. Karson the CIO for Medically Home, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts.
